To establish an official correspondence address in Portugal, you need a residency certificate. Here’s how to obtain one:

Step 1: Gather necessary documents including rental contract, passport, NIF number, and pay a fee of 10 euros.

Step 2: Book an appointment with JUNTA DE FREGUESIA and present the required documents. You’ll receive a confirmation of residency certificate application and pick-up date (usually within 3 days).

Step 3: Visit JUNTA DE FREGUESIA office, present proof of application, and receive your residency certificate which includes your home address.

Note: EU citizens do not need a local witness.
